Let’s talk about organizing kids' craft supplies—something I've been trying to master for the last 7 or so years. I’ve tried countless methods, but I finally found a system that works really well! These bins with various compartments have been a game changer for us!

I know organization kids craft might sound a bit tedious, but it definitely is worth it! Having everything sorted makes crafting much more enjoyable and stress-free, for both myself and the kids.

Here's how I do it:

1. Sort by Type

I start by sorting all the supplies into categories. We have a bin for for colouring, painting (and activities that require a paint mat), Play Doh, and of course, our Scribble Scrubbles. This makes everything really easy to find!

2. Compartmentalize
For all the little bits and pieces—these bins are a lifesaver. They have smaller compartments that are perfect for keeping tiny items organized and easily accessible. No more digging through a jumbled mess to find that one piece that your child claims they need in that very moment. I like to put the bigger items, such as colour books and paint, at the bottom in the large compartment.

We like to store our bins in our "craft, board games and puzzles" closet, which is essentially where we keep all the kids stuff that doesn't make it into the playroom. We love having everything neatly organized, because it makes setting up for an activity, as well as cleaning up a breeze. If you’re struggling with craft chaos, I highly recommend giving these bins a try. Your future self—and your kids—will thank you!
