It's time for another exciting update on The TKL Headquarters. We have been working so hard to get it ready and I get more excited about it every time I step foot in the space.
The painting is officially done, Bloomsbury has completed the millwork, and I’m happy to report that all my “pink” kitchenette worries have gone away - the colour is perfect! We've also given the whole unit a good scrub-down, which was much needed after all the construction that took place.
On another note, Bloomsbury also finished installing the rest of the millwork, and it’s better than anything I could’ve imagined, which I didn’t think was possible. Like I already mentioned, the kitchenette is SO dreamy - everything from the colour, to the hooks and the beadboard ..it’s just so perfect! The cash desk is also a show stopper, and literally made my jaw drop the first time I saw it.
Alright so remember that bathroom that I said I would “leave till later”, well I should’ve known that I have no patience for “later” LOL. It all started with a “we’ll just update the vanity for now”, and then you can guess how that went. We snagged a vanity, which is a win in itself, but now our bathroom is screaming for some serious TLC. You know that saying, "It has to get worse before it gets better"? Well, let's just say we're really putting that theory to the test... stay tuned!
Now that everyone else has done their work, it’s time for me to put in some elbow grease. I’ve been searching Facebook Marketplace for some hidden gems to furnish the space. We were excited to find a table and a dresser, but they're in need of some love. The table's almost ready, but my fingers might need a little recovery time before tackling the dresser. It’s Mr. TKL to the rescue to finish what I’ve started LOL – who knew refinishing furniture could be such a workout?
Next up on the agenda: adding all those finishing touches! We're talking hardware, lighting – you name it. And then, drumroll please... it's move-in day! We can't wait to unveil the final look of our very first brick and mortar! Stay tuned for more updates – I have a feeling it's going to be all kinds of pretty!
