Valentine's Day is all about L O V E. For some of us that means spending it with your significant other, while for others it's showering your kids, parents, family or friends with some heart shaped confetti. While I love a fun night out, my favourite thing to do on Valentine's Day is stay home [I've become quite the homebody!]. I do love some one on one time with my hunny, but a day with the girls is always a good idea [and usually very much needed!].
One of the cutest ways to celebrate is a little Valentine's brunch with your besties! All you need is some pretty pinks, and sweet treats. Below are some of my fav items to make things festive without breaking the bank!
Pink dinnerware and glassware are definitely not a necessity but they do make your tablescape a little sweeter. The wooden heart garland and lollipops I used are a local dollar store find that add a festive touch. Other ways to add some pinks is through napkins, or even some pink bubbly to fill your glass! I always like to match my menu items to the theme, since it doubles as decor, and I mean what's better than heart shaped waffles, with strawberry topping and whipped cream?! I also added some shortbread cookies to the mix, as a tea or coffee dipper. Lastly, little heart printed paper bags filled with goodies, and tied with a pretty gift tag are the perfect take home treat for your ladies!
As most of you know HomeSense is my happy place, so I bought a lot of pieces there [striped napkins, gift bags, gift tags]. Since I can't link these items, or my dollar store finds, I've done my best to find similar items online so you can get the same look!
