Since Stella's tutu obsession began early last year, I had the idea of a "tu+tu" party for her 4th birthday party; I thought it was perfect for her, and she LOVED the idea! Never did I think we would be in the middle of a pandemic and not be able to celebrate the way we had hoped. Regardless, I wanted to make her feel extra special this year, so we decorated the house, got all dressed up, and celebrated my little girl! I hope that once this is behind us and things return to "normal", you can use this as inspiration for your children's birthdays.

First things first, the balloon garland. OH EM GEE!! How beautiful is it? It was gifted to us by Oh Balloonz and we are beyond grateful, because it totally transformed our home into a birthday heaven. I had no idea where I wanted them to build the garland, and when they suggested our family room I was SO excited - I don't know why I never thought of that myself!! They're a small local shop, owned by two sisters and they were so lovely to work with. We made sure everyone wore a mask, and was socially distanced, so that they could work their magic!

The Samsung Frame TV also pulled through (as per usual LOL). I was able to create a design in Canva, and upload it to our screen for a sweet little touch. That's how we got "Stella is Tu+Tu" on our TV.

Our table setting, although small was the sweetest little thing. Everything was from Lemonade Party Box, another local shop that we were so fortunate to work with. Stella currently loves the book Lola Dutch, so when I saw that they had Lola Dutch themed plates and napkins I was sold! I also fell in love with the Simply Eco Plates, because they look like twirling tutus! The paper cups and scallop edge napkins added more pink to the tablescape, as per the birthday girls request! And the final touch was these beautiful, handcrafted Ballerina dolls that were set on the girls' plates as their "loot bags".

Behind our sweet table we hung pink and gold fans. These were purchased from HomeSense but I linked similar ones below. We own these in a few different sets and I absolutely love them. Not only do they make a pretty backdrop, they're reusable so you can use them for years to come!

Lastly, but most definitely not least, the cake and cookies! We've been getting our sweets from Honeydoll Bakehouse, since Stella's very first birthday. She is so talented, and not only makes pretty cakes, but they're delicious too! Stella wanted strawberries in her cake so we opted for vanilla cake with buttercream and fresh cut strawberries. The tutu shortbread cookies were a big hit, and they also made the perfect little gift for anyone that stopped by for porch side wishes!

Although this wasn't our ideal birthday party, it was definitely one that we won't forget! Stella had the best time (she told me she was SO happy!), and at the end of the day, that's all that matters.

Happy party planning!!
