Welcome back to another corner of our home! I hope you’re enjoying my little home tour series. If you missed any of the previous room reveals, they’re all saved under My Home in the main menu. Today I’m sharing the smallest, and most beloved space in our home, the servery, also known as the butler's pantry.

This little space combines two of my FAV things; wall paneling and oval windows! I was so adamant on an oval window somewhere in our home, because I think they're just so charming!! I must have brought this window up to our architect and builder at about every meeting LOL. The vertical shiplap behind the open shelving, brings so much warmth to the space. I know I talk a lot about warmth when it comes to interiors, but I'm a sucker for a warm, and inviting home! I find that wall moulding makes a space cozy, especially those that there are primarily white; white on white can sometimes appear very cold. Every time I look at this wall it brings me so much joy. It's just so pretty, right?!

The servery is an extension of our kitchen, and connects to our formal dining room. It's also how you access the pantry. Most people use their servery to store platters and other things used for entertaining. Although we do store some of those items here, the servery is primarily used as our morning command centre. Here you will find our coffee and tea station, medicine/ vitamin drawer, as well as what we like to call our oatmeal and smoothie station. We also have a second dishwasher in this space, which is the best last minute decision we made!

Currently our formal dining room isn't complete. Once we start using it the servery may need to be reorganized, but for now it's very functional for our lifesytle. Our espresso machine sits on the counter, and our coffee, tea, cups and accessories are stored in the drawer below. I've dedicated two of our floating white oak shelves to bowls, oatmeal, seeds, granola and a few other things we add to our smoothie and oatmeal bowls. I use the same labels here that I use in our spice drawer. I just love how minimalistic they are! Our medicine/ vitamin drawer also lives here, making it easy to ensure we don't forget our daily dose of healthy goodness.

On the opposite end, I accessorized the shelves with simple frames and some accent pieces, which I'm always switching the around! This little corner of the servery is what you see from our dining room, as well as our front door, so I try to make it as mess-free as possible. The prints here are both Etsy finds, and I love how they look.

Lastly, lets talk about our beloved secondary dishwasher. So many people recommended we put one in the servery, and I went back and forth on it A LOT! I've always had one dishwasher, so why the heck did I need two now?? Well, let me tell you! LOL Although it's definitely a nice to have and not a necessity, this dishwasher makes clean up after a big day of cooking, or an evening of entertaining SO much easier. I'm very happy we made the choice to add this into the servery at the very last minute! We also decided to panel the dishwasher for a cleaner aesthetic, and I love how clean it looks. After all, dishwashers aren’t the prettiest thing to look at LOL

If you're building or renovating are you're able to add a servery to your floor plan, I can't recommend it enough! Ultimately it's where you can make the mess happen, while keeping your kitchen (somewhat) in tact, which is perfect if you enjoy entertaining or if you're slightly OCD like my self LOL.

I hope you enjoyed the tour! Please let me know if you have any questions in the comments below.
