Little Coco had a farm, EI-EI-O!! We had the BEST time celebrating our sweet 2 year old this past weekend. She's been OBSESSED with farm animals and the Old MacDonald song for months, so the theme was absolutely perfect! Since we were mid lockdown for her 1st birthday, I knew I wanted to go all out for her 2nd birthday party. Luckily some of the restrictions here in Ontario have lifted and we were able to have some of her cousins over for her pool party, which brought her so much joy!
First things first, the balloons!! Oh Balloonz out did themselves yet again (remember the garland from Stella's birthday?)! If you want your party to have that WOW factor, I can't recommend these balloon garlands enough. They created this stunning arrangement of yellow balloons, with touches of yellow baby's-breath, which fit the theme and made our birthday girl SO happy. They also gifted Chloe the cutest cow and a pig balloon which may of been her favourite thing at the party - check out her little kissy face below (she was giving them all the kisses LOL).
Our kids table setting is also worth mentioning, because it was the sweetest thing. Everything is from Lemonade Party Box, a local shop that I am so lucky to have worked with again to bring my vision to reality. The rooster cups with the little feathered tails are my favourite, and they were also the perfect addition to our little lemonade stand. The sweet farm napkins, small farm plates and large barn plates are also so much fun and fit in perfectly with our theme!
Our sweet table was, in my opinion, the cutest thing!! We kept it simple with a little canvas Hip Hip Hooray banner, and then filled the table with flowers, and food which are essentially two of Chloe's favourite things. All of the desserts were created for us by the very talented Honeydoll Bakehouse, who we've been using to sweeten our events ever since we can remember. I'm not a big fan of fondant on cakes, so we went with a naked cake, which is my personal fav and I think the rustic look was great for the EI-EI-O theme. I then topped it with farm themed cupcake toppers from Lemonade Party Box. Now lets talk cookies, OH-EM-GEE! They are adorable, and although they have some fondant on them, they are absolutely delish. Lastly, the mini apple pies were amazing and the perfect little touch to the sweet table.
We sent our guests home with a container of fresh strawberries and a few goodies for the kids. Our loots bags were filled with a farm themed drawing pad, a strawberry push pop fidget, and farm themed tattoos. We all had the best time celebrating our sweet 2 year old girl, and although I LOVE to get creative with my kids birthday parties (it's so much fun!), the best part was spending some time together with our family.
A few things that I didn't manage to snap a picture of but were tons of fun were the games. The kids loved Pin the Tail on the Cow and everyone at the party (especially all the competitive men LOL) loved bobbing for apples! I filled individual bowls with water and a few apples, and contestants had to grab one with their mouth/ teeth, but without using their hands. It made for some very funny home videos!
I hope this helps inspire you when planning your little one's farm themed birthday. I linked all the details, including mine and the kids outfits, below.
