Planning a day out in Etobicoke? Let me take you on a perfect little tour, starting with a morning pick-me-up and ending with a leisurely stroll through some of my favourite local spots.

Morning Kick-Off at Yellow Cup Cafe

Start your day with a coffee, matcha, or smoothie at Yellow Cup Cafe. Some of my personal favourites include their iced or hot matcha, the date smoothie, or the jumpy monkey. If you’re in the mood for something refreshing, try their Aqua Fresca—it’s delicious. And for a sweet treat, their croissants are absolutely to die for!

A Visit to The TKL Shop

After your energizing drink, head over to The TKL Shop. Whether you’re looking for unique home decor, cozy kitchen essentials, or just some inspiration, our shop has something special for everyone.

Lunch at Freebird Market and a Picnic by the Lake

Once you’ve browsed and shopped to your heart’s content, grab lunch at Freebird Market. Their sandwiches and pizzas are unreal! Take your meal to-go and head down to the lake for a picnic on Lake Promenade. It’s a beautiful spot to enjoy your lunch with a scenic view of the city.

Stroll Along the Waterfront

After your picnic, take a leisurely stroll along the waterfront. The views of the Toronto sky line are stunning, and it’s a great way to relax and soak in the beauty of the city.

Shopping on The Kingsway

Before heading home, make a stop on The Kingsway. Some of my favourite shops include:

  • The Cheese Boutique: Perfect for picking up some gourmet cheeses.
  • Sunnyland Produce: Not the prettiest store, but they have the best berries in the city.
  • Bake Sale: Their funfetti cookie and birthday cake ice cream cake are must-tries. They also offer Kawartha ice cream in the warmer months!
  • Cafe Rouge Patisserie: A cozy spot for a quick coffee or snack. Their quiche is delish, and their desserts are really pretty.

For clothing, check out boutiques like Lemonwood, Mala, Designer Exchange (consignment), or Carriage Trade. Or, if you’re in the mood for a little pampering, get your nails done at one of the nearby salons.

Flower Shops Galore

Bloor Street is also home to several flower shops that I adore. My go-to’s are:

  • Oleander: For beautiful bouquets.
  • Young's Produce: For produce and flowers :)
  • Natural Green Garden Florist: If you walk up and notice a bunch of dead looking flowers out front, you're at the right place LOL Perfect for buying stems or individual flowers to create your own arrangements at home. Whenever someone asks me on Instagram where I got my flowers or greenery, it’s usually from Natural Green Garden Florist.
Farmers Markets

If you’re visiting on a Wednesday or Saturday, make sure to stop by one of the local farmers markets on your way home:

  • Wednesday: Montgomery Farmers Market (Dundas St. & Montgomery Rd)
    It’s small but so cute.
  • Saturday: Etobicoke Civic Centre Farmers Market (399 The West Mall)
It’s much larger and has everything you need!

Thanks for spending the day in Etobicoke with me! I hope you enjoyed visiting The TKL Shop and exploring some of my favourite local spots.
